The main source of abnormal noise of the bed frame is the force friction between the supporting components, whether there will be noise due to friction is determined by the (A) structural form of the bed frame design, the (B) fastening and reasonableness of the various components of the bed frame, and the internal structure and internal stress (C) strength of the materials used in the bed frame.

Abnormal friction between the supporting parts of the bed frame, often appear sounds such as: "burp", "hiccup", "crunch", "crunch" (onomatopoeia).

 

(A) The design structure of the bed frame
In addition to the most traditional spring box structure bed frame (Foundation, as shown in the bed group picture above), the mainstream bed frame structure is now more complex, there are many components, ordinary consumers want to judge the stability of the mattress through the structure, and then infer the noise situation is obviously a little unrealistic. (B) The manufacturing process and installation tightening and rationality of the bed frame
The manufacturing process must be able to achieve the design intent, the following figure is the details of the above bed frame, in addition to the steel and wood mosaic structure, the bed frame still uses an L-shaped firmware and a three-dimensional triangular firmware, from the perspective of the manufacturing process to ensure that the load carried by the bed frame can be evenly transmitted to the bed leg (or load-bearing bed against the plate). The designer determines the appearance of the bed frame, and the process engineer determines the performance and durability of the bed frame. The abnormal noise of the bed frame due to structural design defects is basically the responsibility of the process engineer. There is a very special structure in the bed frame structure - spring box bed frame (such as the famous Sheraton Sweet Sleep Bed standard bed frame box), the interior is composed of springs (not necessarily coil springs) and a wooden frame, and the possibility of restoration is very small.

 

(C) The internal structure and internal stress strength of the bed frame material
▸ From the material itself, the internal structure of metal materials is more stable, followed by high-strength plastics (such as ABS², PA³), and wood (single-layer board is better than solid wood of the same quality) has the lowest structural strength.

Note ²: ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene plastic) is a versatile and "cost-effective" engineering plastic. It is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile (A), butadiene (B), styrene (S) three monomers, and has the common properties of the three components: it has a certain surface hardness, and has high elasticity and toughness, and good processability as a thermoplastic.

Note³: Nylon (PA, Polyamide) is the world's first synthetic fiber and a very important engineering plastic. The name nylon, and nylon (Jinzhou chemical fiber factory is China's first factory to synthesize Polyamide Fibre nylon fiber, so the domestic chemical fiber industry habitually calls PA nylon) is the same as polyamide fiber. It has the characteristics of non-toxic, light weight, excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance and good corrosion resistance, so it is a good material for replacing steel, iron, copper and other metals with plastic.
▸ From a structural point of view: the higher the strength of the material, the stronger the ability to bear internal stress; In the range of material strength, the higher the structural stress, the more stable and stable the structure.

Stability is the most effective way to avoid noise caused by friction, and the use of buffer parts (such as spring gaskets, rubber rings) as a spacing between structures is also an effective means of reducing noise. Introduce a relatively simple way to judge: the more metal of the load-bearing component, the more stable, and the more high-strength plastic components of the connecting parts, the more stable.
